Hi, I’m having an issue with the size of the screen. Most of the top information bar is 75% missing. I see a little neon green rectangle (blank from what I can see) and a red rectangle (also blank). Anytime I click on the bookshelf I can’t find my way out of it. Any help with this would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

On the your first problem: what is the native resolution of your display (monitor)?  Have you tried selecting a different resolution? You can do this from the main menu, which is accessed by clicking the red megaphone at lower right; if it’s cut off on your screen, hold down the ‘alt” key, press G, and choose Preferences. This will get you to the Main menu. Resolution is at top center. Choose the lowest resolution , which is 1024x768. If the game window is still cut off at top or bottom with this resolution, then your video/display settings need to be changed—in particular, the vertical setting is too low. If you are using a netbook computer, it’s possible that your maximum vertical resolution is insufficient altogether. Many netbooks have a maximum vertical resolution of 600. Unfortunately, the People Power game just can’t be played on such computers. On the second problem: you can get out of the bookshelf back to the main screen by clicking anywhere along the far left hand margin (very dark area). Let us know if we can help further.

In that case I probably won’t be able to get the game to work properly. I have it set to 1200 or something x 800. Can I do without the top bar? I suspect that there is some kind of button that submits your planned activities. Right now I’m just kind of stuck and not able to do anything.

You are challenged to decide which issues to emphasize, and then see what happens when you start performing tactics toward those goals. We think you’ll will find as much fun in this experimentation as in ‘beating’ each scenario. Please come back here and post your play experiences so we can see how you’re doing and so other players can compare notes!

I, too, have trouble fitting the game on my screen. I’m running a Mac OSX with a monitor set to 1360 x 768, and the bottom row of icons is sliced off at the bottom. (Can’t see the tool tips, for example.)

Is this a limitation of Adobe AIR? Or a design decision made by the game developers?
