I run the game on a Russian install of Windows XP. Is it possible to force disable the language autodetection and have the whole thing in the single default English locale? The English-Russian mixture is very silly, distracting and generally ridiculous.

I just got to Oct 14 in the Brybury Coast scenario, and both parties won. The newspaper report said that the Progressive Party Won, but my calendar also said that the Peasants Party won. I also got a message saying that the peasants had won and that I was not able to persuade them to do something about the anti-corruption commission.

Hello there! I was asked to play this game at the request of the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice. I’ve been a video game addict for 25 years and I run (with two other guys) a site called VeteranGamers.

I’m excited to play this game, since it appears to combine two things I love—video games and progressive political action. The construction of the game looks sound enough (based on a mere half-hour of play so far), but I wonder if the tutorial is broken. (This, obviously, is a huge stumbling to me—and others, I expect—wanting to play it more.)

The Details: In the tutorial, on game date 4/25/09, I was instructed to schedule a Fundraising tactic for a recycling group in the “Trendy Ranch” part of Smithville. Alas, the only option I saw on the Tactics List was “Ask for Support” from the Business Association. I tried this (thinking perhaps the tutorial developer had merely left out a step), and received a newspaper headline announcing that the movement was growing. (The green Momentum box in the top-left corner went from 3 to 11.)

Now there is nothing available in the Tactics List. I’m really not sure what to do, since the Tutorial is trying to take me down a path that I—apparently—cannot travel.

I want to help fix this (and any other problems I encounter), for two reasons: One, I want to see it succeed because it seems like a very worthwhile contribution to the world of strategy games. And Two, I paid $10 and I want my money’s worth, heh!

If I’ve done something wrong, please let me know. If the tutorial is indeed broken, please let me know when I can find an updated version to try again.

Thanks for your hard work on this project!
